Yes fuse no. 22 is for the Air blower for the climatronic system and has a 40 amp fuse. This fuse is not blown. However, fuse no. 4 (heating, air conditioning, electrically adjustable seats) being blown is what is stopping the blower motor working.

The large arrow represents the direction of the Air Flow into the engine. Here's the description of each circuit below. Number 5. MAF Signal; Number 4. 5 Volt Reference from ECM. Number 3. Ground. Provided by the ECM internally. Number 2. 12 Volt battery power. Number 1. Air Temp Sensor Circuit. This slot may be empty or not on your MAF sensor. Getting a bit fed up with my non-working air con in all this heat! MK5 Golf GTI » Forum » All Things Mk5 » Mk5 General Area »

I'm having trouble programming my new (used) Canbus Gateway into my 2006 Golf 2.0 tdi 4motion 140. It all started about 6 months ago when I fitted an aftermarket Android head unit (Erisin), since then I've been suffering from battery drain issues and after my second new battery I thought it was time to look into the problem a bit closer.

A couple of weeks later it stopped blowing cold at all. I've had the gas checked by a friend and he said it was at a spot on level. He then checked for a change in noise when switching the aircon on and off on the climate. He reckons there's no difference in sound. VW Golf GTI MK5, air con was low at approx 115, so a total service was run and the system refilled. The compressor is working and there are no leaks in the system, when a diagnostic was run it showed there was a code for it still being low.
The heating acts normally for the first 30 minutes then starts to cool down to the point where i have to whack the heating up to 28c to get any heat, then it comes through hot. Think nothing, nothing HOT. Couple of points. - The coolant temperature reaches and remains at 90c after approximately 10 minutes of driving.
Car is Golf mk5 1.9 TDI 2007 Air con blows hot air and does not turn on I've checked all my fuses are fine Checked under the hood and with air-con on (eco off), the fans at the front do not engage after 30secs-1min, they don't start at all at any point MK5 Golf GTI » Forum » Author Topic: Air Con not working and was Quoted £1100 to fix (Read 342 times) Sati2010uk. Hope that fixes it, the biggest problem with low gas, and with not using it regularly (all Aircon) is that the gas carries around the lubrication for the seals so hopefully it will re-pressurise and you can cool down again. 5Dr Black GTI, DSG, Leather, Xenons.
