The 1,6td unit has a turbine housing of a 0,36 ratio. This will make your 1,9 liter engine perform really well from approxiamately 1000rpm to about 3000rpm.

TDI's were put in rear wheel drive applications, the VW LT is one of them. Then there's the quattro Audis which were all wheel drive. A V6 tdi is not available in the US, unless you purchase a new boat/industrial motor to the tune of 20+ grand. You can also look into rendering a quattro transmission as RWD only,its not to terribly difficult to do
